Disco Inferno...How Deep is your love?  "Saturday Night Fever"

OK... so I think I broke my toe. Or seriously bruised it. Whatever I did, it hurts like "WHAT!!!!" so much so I will NOT be wearing shoes for a day or two. This means any plans I had to go out earlier tonight were scrapped. Now granted, what I had planned on doing wasn't nearly as glamorous as what I wound up doing.  Yes, I would have had to throw together a cute, comfy stylish ensemble and I would have beat my face for the GAWDS, but it wasn't that deep. lol   Instead I have an icepack on my foot and I'm binge watching stuff I need to delete from my DVR. Good times...good times.

Anyway, as I mentioned in my last blog, I'm participating in the Madpea Mad Easter Egg Hunt inworld.  I'm not killing it like I had planned to, been busy.  BUT I am still in the game, and because I am still TPing to amazing new locations, I am also rezzing and finding myself in locations I haven't visited in years.  No matter the location, if it appeals to my eyes I take a moment to see if they have any group/subscriber info or event info out, and low and behold I saw something very interesting.  It was at Matahari Island; I saw a sign that said DISCO Roller skating party! I just about lost my sh*t! See I LOVE LOVE LOVE DISCO!  Its seriously deep for me.  AND I used to LOVE to roller skate and ice skate, I guess I still do, just haven't had an occasion to do either in a few years. None the less, I clicked the sign, got the info notecard and went about my way.


Fast forward, it was set for Saturday at what I thought was 5PM SLT, BUT I was wrong, it was 3PM SLT, and I totally missed it.  Now, something you need to be clear on here, I am very very very serious about theme ensembles. Once I have it in my head that a theme is happening I get alll into it. This is not only applicable to my Avatar in world,this is me and has been forever.  I tend to style her no different than I would style myself, with the exception of she has way less modesty than I do..."I don't wanna freak out the neighbors, they have no idea what kind of wild woman child lives next door  n what not, if they only knew! LMAO)  Anyhoo, so when it comes to styling with a theme in mind, let alone one I LOVE, I go all the way with it.

I did mention the notecard said Disco Rollerskating party right?  So I needed some skates and a skate AO. Neither of which I had in my inventory. SO I had to find some, and I did!  I got lucky and managed to grab a pair of mesh rollerskates that didn't blow up my complexity from BabyMonkey on the Marketplace for...drum roll please....$L10!!!!  BINGO!  These babies come with a HUD with lots of colors to choose from. Now if you prefer to be able to customize your skates down to the laces, these are not for you. BUT if you can get down with one color and well made mesh skates then there ya go! The Baby Monkey Roller Girl skates are for you!   SO my skates were set.  Now the skate AO situation, I'm gonna leave that alone right now as this is not a review blog post, I will say this;  I found something for $L 199, that is very very basic, the end.  Moving on...

I LOVE Scandalize, even though I felt totally left out of that last gifty put out as I am a Slink Physique body wearer, but whatever... I have many great gifts from there  that do accommodate my main mesh body. The question was, which one would give me that Disco feel I needed?  I tried a few on my Avatar and then as if the SL fairies heard my wish, the one I almost skipped was THE one, ELLA!  Love this little dress! It has a nice HUD full of pretty colors and the fit was nice.  It was sexy and looks oh so Disco ready. SO BAM put that on. Then hair; I knew I had something fluffy and afro-esque that I don't really wear as it is very primmy, but still so cute. So into my EMO-tions file I went and pulled out a group gifty named JOINY that I had modded a bit. Easy as pie, hair did!

Next I pulled up my appliers to get that face just right and then she was ready, but something was missing. See, Disco fashion notoriously straddled the fence between sexy, risque, chic, and ethereal, and fantasy.  Like the music...and me for that matter, Disco fashion is very mercurial, that's the best way I can describe the style temperature. All I knew was I had sexy on lock, the hair had a fluffy ethereal air to it as did the makeup with the pretty diamond touches around the eyes, courtesy of SlackGirl's Dozen Easter Egg hunt contribution, but still. Then I  remembered my visit a month ago to Persefona, where I played one of the Gacha machines and got one of the prettiest floral hair accessories, the Maki.  It was the perfect touch right on time for spring too.  Barring I had Babies breathe to add to the coif, it was the perfect touch!

Dance like no one is watching...except maybe that one person you hope is watching...

OK, so I had my outfit together, and I was ready to go see what the DJ was serving from the audio buffet that is the best of Disco and 80's music. SO I checked the notecard again to grab the Landmark and saw that I had missed the party! I was pissed! All that work for nada.  THEN it hit me, TAKE SOME PHOTOS GIRL! Why let a look go to waste? With that, my plan had changed inworld just like my RL plans had changed. I take it that the universe is teaching me a lesson about going with the flow or making lemonade out of lemons or something. lol

SO I hit the inworld search to find a Disco. WHY did I  just type DISCO? I know better.  I guess because I haven't hit any inworld clubs since reincarnating, I keep forgetting that there are damn near more clubs than people inworld. So that one word search term was like, not good. Way too many listings popped up.  I would have to be specific, and so I tried Discotque and again, those lovely SL faires heard my plea and Saturday Night Fever Discoteque , popped up all by itself!   That was that, my Avatar's look  was  inspired in my head by Saturday Night Fever, and there it was! Manifest it baby! LOL    Without hesitation I TPed to the spot and started plotting my shots.  Set up my windlight, put on my pose HUD, attached my custom photog lights to my Avatar,  and got to clicking while listening to the Saturday Night Fever  movie soundtrack that plays on the parcels media stream.  I was in heaven, swollen toe and all.

When I had taken what I felt were enough photos to tell my story I took my lil lady back home, got all the ensemble info for this blog and Flickr photo credits , then logged off.   The end.
